Abstract

This image is important in that it may have played a role in James Blades' misidentification of the triangle-shaped drawing in "Hieronymus, Ad Dardanum de diversis generibus musicorum" as a being the first known depiction of a musical triangle in his book, "Percussion Instruments and Their History."
